PRACTICAL GUIDE ON HOW TO USE THE “SKETCH RENDERING” TOOL ON REDRAW

The Sketch Rendering feature on Redraw is an innovative tool that transforms sketches into realistic renderings. If you want to bring life to your drawings and sketches, this guide will help you understand how to use this tool in the best possible way!

If you prefer a quick video tutorial, you can access our Redraw Academy:

1. Upload Your Sketch and Reference Image

  • Select a hand-drawn sketch, a digital sketch, and a reference image that represents your project’s idea.
  • Redraw will use this file as the base to generate the rendering.
Tip: The cleaner and more well-defined the sketch is, the better the AI interpretation will be.

2. Choose the Environment Type

Define whether your image represents an interior or exterior. This choice helps the AI correctly interpret the elements of the scene.

  • Interiors – Bedrooms, living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, and other indoor spaces.
  • Exteriors – Facades, outdoor areas, gardens, and urban spaces.
Tip: For hybrid projects (interior + exterior), choose the option that best represents the focus of your rendering.

3. Choose the Architectural Style

Personalize your rendering by selecting a specific architectural style for your project. Some examples include:

  • Modern – Clean lines, minimalism, refined materials
  • Industrial – Exposed structures, concrete, metal, dark tones
  • Rustic – Wood, natural stone, organic textures
  • Minimalist – Clean spaces, neutral colors, few decorative elements
  • Contemporary – A mix of styles with elegant and current touches

4. Select the Room Type (For Interior Spaces)

If you selected an interior environment, specify which room type will be rendered.

Some available options:

  • Bedroom
  • Bathroom
  • Living room
  • Kitchen
  • Office
  • Entrance hall
  • Leisure area
This selection helps the AI include typical elements of each space, such as appropriate furniture and lighting.

5. Describe Your Project in the Suggestions Field (Prompt)

Here you can personalize your rendering even further! Use this field to specify colors, materials, lighting, and decorative elements you want to include in the final image.

Example of a Well-Structured Prompt:

“Modern living room with a beige linen sofa, neutral-toned rug, wooden coffee table, recessed indirect lighting, concrete walls, and gold detailing.”

Tips for an Effective Prompt:

  • Be direct and specific – Describe the materials and colors you want in the scene.
  • Include decorative elements – Curtains, lighting fixtures, plants, and textures enrich the rendering.
  • Avoid vague descriptions – Instead of “beautiful environment,” specify the visual characteristics.

6. Generate Your Image!

After defining all parameters, click the “Generate Image” button and wait for the rendering. Redraw will process the sketch and create a realistic image based on your choices.

If the result is not what you expected:

  • Refine your prompt and add more details.
  • Test different styles to find what best suits your project.
  • Try adjusting your sketch or reference image to improve the AI interpretation.
